This Berkeley foster care agency needed to expand into 5,000 square feet above their existing ground-floor offices. The space was heavily renovated to create offices and a large conference room. Ground-floor client spaces were also remodeled. The heart of the office is a new stair llinking the entry lobby with the new upstairs. A simple painted mural of their logo was an inexpensive way to create a dramatic and professional image for A Better Way. Mikiten Architecture worked closely with staff to shuffle functions in the new and old spaces, creating a better-organized overall agency.
